Free quotes can be discussed when requesting a commission.

A description of what aspects of the work will be agreed upon in advance, such as size, colours, materials, etc. then finalized in writing.

Payment terms for the artwork commission

At least 25% of the full cost of the artwork will be required upfront before beginning work. This is to protect the my investment in materials and time.

I shall list the total cost of the work, the deposit necessary to begin the commission, and when final payment is due upon agreed quote and contract.

Deadline for your commissioned artwork

An agreement shall be made upon a completion date for the work and also if requested a viewing and meeting date for when the work is partially completed can be arranged.

Custom framing

Custom framing can also be arranged and agreed upon in the quote.

Delivery of artwork

Delivery can be arranged depending on size and location.

Installation of artwork

Installation can also be ordered and hanging hardware will be installed.

Copyright

Many clients will assume that since they are paying for the work, they own the copyright. Unless I am signing over the rights to my work (there should not be any reason for this sort of agreement, normally), I shall stipulate that I retain the copyright of the work. This means I can put an image of the work on your website, and use it for portfolios, etc.
